We are not just waiting for heaven someday—we are invited to host the presence of God right now. Tracing the journey of the ark of the covenant in 1 Samuel, this message shows how seriously God treats His holiness and how easily we can treat Him as common. Yet in the house of Abinadab, God’s presence abides for twenty years, revealing what it looks like to honor Him well.
Through Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit, God now chooses to dwell in His people. This sermon calls us to examine our hearts: Are we truly hosting His presence, or merely presuming upon it? As we move toward Advent with renewed expectation, we are reminded that our purpose is not merely to reach heaven—but to bring heaven to earth by carrying God’s presence into everyday life.
