On this special Sunday, Pastor Doug invites us to reflect not only on the beauty of motherhood but also on the deeper spiritual challenge of surrender. Through the dramatic story of Solomon’s judgment between two mothers (1 Kings 3), we’re reminded how envy can destroy us from the inside out—but how God’s wisdom exposes truth and brings healing. We’re called to examine our own hearts: Can we celebrate others when they receive what we lack? Are we willing to trust that God is good, even when He withholds or redirects? A surrendered heart, free from envy, is a heart that God can fill and bless.

May we honor the spiritual mothers in our lives, release what we’ve held too tightly, and learn to celebrate others with joy. As we pour out love, God pours in healing.
